This year’s biggest European quantum event is celebrating World Quantum Day by launching its ticket store with special rates to mark the special occasion. The EQTC 2023 will bring together leading minds from science, industry and policy for a week’s worth of insightful and exciting programmes. The biennial showcase and community gathering of the Quantum Flagship, Europe’s groundbreaking innovation initiative, will take place between 16-20 October 2023 in Hannover hosted by the Quantum Valley Lower Saxony (QVLS).
Up to 1.000 guests are expected to attend the EQTC 2023 and make Hannover the beating heart of the European quantum world this year. Starting from novel research and reaching up to industrial applications, the multi-faceted conference programme attracts the growing international community to discuss the entire bandwidth of quantum technologies from quantum computing and simulation, quantum communication and cryptography as well as quantum sensing and metrology.
The main event at the Hannover Convention Center invites attendees to a series of inspiring high-level talks and keynotes on groundbreaking scientific results from all over Europe. Leading representatives from industry and start-ups will showcase the latest advances towards real-world quantum applications. Engaging conversation formats, interactive deep dives and workshops allow for new forms of exchange between experts from all sectors and disciplines. Being the central meeting place for the European quantum community, the EQTC 2023 offers ample time and space to boost networking among participants – with highlights such as the welcome reception and the EQTC community dinner. In addition to the rich and diverse programme, an ongoing exhibition by leading quantum companies and research hubs rounds off the conference.
On-site attendees will also have the chance to explore the regional hotspots of innovation in the quantum field through lab tours and other experiences provided by Quantum Valley Lower Saxony: From the modern labs of the Leibniz University Hannover, the University of Braunschweig – Institute of Technology and Germany’s National Metrology Institute (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) to the advancing quantum start-ups surrounding the research institutions.
