The QVLS Winter School on quantum information processing with trapped ions brought an international group of students to Hanover and Braunschweig. For one week, the participants had the opportunity to experience the future-cluster QVLS-iLabs and the Quantum Valley Lower Saxony at first hand. The program included inspiring lectures by internationally renowned experts, practice-oriented hands-on sessions and exclusive guided tours of the labs.
The Winter School was enriched by first-class lecturers who shared their extensive expertise in the field of quantum information processing with trapped ions: Christian Ospelkaus, Klemens Hammerer, Tobias Osborne, Robert Raussendorf, Amado Bautista-Salvador, Marius Schulte and Friederike Giebel. The participants also gained valuable insights from presentations by QUDORA Technologies, a partner of the future cluster QVLS-iLabs Partner and member of QVLS.
In addition to the scientific content, the Winter School also offered numerous opportunities for exchange. Thanks to the sponsor TÜV NORD GROUP, an unforgettable evening took place at the GOP Varieté Theater Hannover, where participants had the opportunity to network over excellent food and drinks.
