Quantum technology start-ups wanted! The QVLS’s high-tech incubator will start preparing deep-tech companies for their big breakthrough soon. It all starts on March 4th at 10 a.m. with our kick-off event.
The state of Lower Saxony is funding so-called high-tech incubators (HTIs) in 2022. These locations for innovation are intended to accelerate the growth of new high-tech companies and provide them with the necessary resources for success. In the field of quantum technologies, QVLS – together with our partners, Leibniz Universität Hannover, the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt and Technische Universität Braunschweig – supports new and young deep-tech start-ups. In order to offer these companies easy access to our infrastructure and highly specialized expertise, we are participating in the high-tech incubator tender of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics: We are applying for five million euros in funding for a QVLS-HTI, of which three million will go directly into project funding for the start-ups.
Are you a young quantum technology company and ready to take off? Then join us in shaping the quantum high-tech incubator. At the kick-off on March 4th, we will present the concept of our high-tech incubator and answer all questions about our infrastructure, the funding period and the application phase process. We support interested start-ups, regardless of whether they in a pre-founding stage or have already overcome the first hurdles, and offer them access to our regional and international network.
All participating start-ups and young companies must adhere to the guideline of Lower Saxony on the approval of grants for high-tech incubators and accelerators (Richtlinie des Landes Niedersachsen über die Gewährung von Zuwendungen für die Förderung von Hightech-Inkubatoren/Akzeleratoren). It has recently been updated and an overview of the changes can be found here. One major change is that it has been extended until the end of 2024.
Curious to learn more? Then register for the kick-off event on March 4, 2022 from 10am to 1pm.
