On 16 – 17 October 2025, leading voices from science, industry, and government will gather in Frankfurt am Main for the first seQUcom (Securing Enterprise Communications Conference). Hosted in the Union Halle, the two-day event will focus on one of the most urgent topics in cybersecurity today: the transition to quantum-secure communication.
The conference is organized by SQuaD (Quantenkommunikation Deutschland), the BMFTR-funded umbrella project driving national efforts in quantum communication. Together with the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), the Deutscher Industrieverbund für Quantensicherheit (DIVQSec), and the Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e. V. (VDE), seQUcom brings together stakeholders across the ecosystem to build awareness and create actionable strategies for enterprises facing the challenges of the quantum era.
Why seQUcom matters
The rapid development of quantum computing and artificial intelligence threatens the foundations of today’s cryptographic methods. Algorithms that currently protect sensitive data could soon be broken—exposing critical information and undermining digital trust. The shift to quantum-safe encryption is therefore not a distant challenge, but an urgent necessity.
seQUcom 2025 is designed to help enterprises prepare. With an executive-focused track and a technical track, the program will guide decision-makers and technical experts alike from understanding the threat landscape to implementing practical solutions such as Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).
