On September 15, 2025, we offered around 30 students and young professionals the opportunity to learn about career opportunities in quantum technology. Organized by our Cluster4Future QVLS-iLabs and the QuantumFrontiers cluster of excellence, this time we hosted the Quantum Job Afternoon at the PTB‘s Science Showcase in Braunschweig. The participants were first invited to listen to pitches from several partner companies from the QVLS quantum ecosystem:
Sven Bettendorf presented TÜV Informationstechnik GmbH, an IT security service provider belonging to QVLS member TÜV NORD GROUP.
Dr. Liam Shelling Neto presented CAVITY technologies, a start-up in the High-Tech Incubator of our Cluster4Future QVLS-iLabs, which specializes in optical cavities.
Dr. Stephan Hannig presented another such start-up, Agile Optic GmbH, which specializes in optomechanical systems.
By bringing together talent and companies, we support career orientation and planning in this dynamic environment as well as the recruitment of skilled workers in our network. The presentations were followed by an open exchange for discussions: clarifying questions, gaining insights, networking – and paving the way for careers in quantum technology, whose complexity requires the pooling of many areas of expertise.
Thanks to our host and partners, everyone enjoyed a successful career event—the third after November 5, 2024, and May 7, 2025, in Hanover, and certainly not the last!
