SUMMARY:QR.N Workshop “Quantum Business Bootcamp”
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is primarily aimed at Master’s students\, PhD candidates\, and postdocs with a technical or scientific background who are interested in turning their research ideas into viable business models. However\, it is also open to anyone wishing to gain first insights and inspiration regarding entrepreneurship in science.\nTopics will include starting a business in the natural sciences\, patents and intellectual property\, personal experiences from founders\, as well as funding and financial support. SUMMARY:DQ-mat Colloquium by Géza Thóth: Criteria fordetecting entanglement close to Dicke states with many-body correlations
DESCRIPTION:Abstract:\nWe will review methods for detecting multipartite entanglement in an ensemble of spin-1/2 atoms with collective measurements. We will\nintroduce entanglement criteria based on the measurement of many-body correlations\, such as the parity. Interestingly\, such criteria can\ndetect a larger entanglement depth in some practical situations than previous methods. Our criteria require a single-particle resolution in\nmeasuring the particle number.
