SUMMARY:Workshop “Algebraic Structures in Quantum Computation”
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the workshop is to discuss recent advances in our understanding of quantum computation through algebraic methods. Topics include discrete Wigner functions and contextuality of quantum mechanics\, quantum cellular automata\, quantum algorithms generalized stabilizer formalisms\, applications of machine learning in quantum information\, computational phases of quantum matter\, quantum errorcorrection\, models of quantum computation. \nAttendance is free\, but prior registration is required. SUMMARY:Winterschool 2025 @ QVLS
DESCRIPTION:The school will be held from Feb 24th to Feb 28th in Hannover\, Germany. Speakers will include Klemens Hammerer\, Tobias Osborne\, Christian Ospelkaus and Robert Raußendorf. \nThe school will cover a wide range of topics from trap technology over essential atomic physics to the basics of quantum error correction. The school will include lab visits and social events. \nSuccessful participants will be provided with a certificate covering 4 ECTS points (recognition depends on participant’s university). To apply for participation\, please send a meaningful application including motivation to info@qvls.de. There are a few spots left that will be filled as applications come in.
