Quantum Valley Lower Saxony (QVLS) and Deutsche Messe AG cooperate for more quantum industry transfer
HANNOVER MESSE from 30 May to 2 June 2022 will for the first time feature a Quantum Technologies Hub. Deutsche Messe AG and Quantum Valley Lower Saxony (QVLS) are using their international networks to jointly take the transfer of quantum technologies between science and industry to a new level. This year, one of the world’s largest industrial trade fairs in Hannover will bring together a quantum alliance with a strong research base and forward-looking companies.
With the new area for quantum technologies, HANNOVER MESSE is responding to the great potential that is emerging with developments such as the quantum computer being created in Quantum Valley Lower Saxony (QVLS). Quantum computers promise groundbreaking results for many applications, from research into active medical ingredients, the optimisation of production processes or traffic flows up to model calculations in climate research.
In addition to the Alliance QVLS and the Quantum Technology Competence Centre (QTZ) of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, the alliance of Dutch quantum activities, Quantum Delta NL, will be represented at HANNOVER MESSE. Under the auspices of the alliances, more than 20 quantum start-ups and SMEs from Germany, Canada and the Netherlands have already arranged to meet for international match-making at the fair.
In addition to the exhibitor area in the Future Hub (Hall 2), the topic will also feature prominently in the HANNOVER MESSE programme. On Thursday, 2 June from 2:50 p.m., a panel discussion with world-leading experts will take place on the central stage in the Future Hub. The session will explore the many potential benefits and impacts of quantum technologies at different time horizons in industry and technology in an interactive and experimental way. The English-language programme will also be livestreamed via the HANNOVER MESSE website.
